Its nearly time to paint the bridge and other parts of the superstructure, so I am conducting a few tests so that I know what I am doing for the parts that matter. Above, I have made some railings similar to those on the boat. I will test with hand painted primer, spray primer and see if the black rails can be painted satisfactorily after spraying with white. The purple bits include a window painted with "mascol" which is Tamiya's paint on mask, that peals off when dry. The holes in the middle are to see how much the existing holes will be covered by the paint when sprayed on.
